What a day to remember!!! 🔵⚪🥇🏆☀️

Everyone deserves special days in football that you remember far longer than the league wins or losses. On Saturday 30th May, we got to have the full matchday experience at Poulton Victoria Football Club in front of family and friends.

A great day all round with great support and a match played in good spirits between two well matched sides. The sun was out, the bar was open and the day went perfectly.

A huge thank you to our opposition Greenleas Warriors and manager Adam Kenneth Pusey (Greenleasjfc Whole-Club Page) for fully embracing the spirit of the day with us and helping to make it the day it was.

A massive thank you to our sponsor Ian Kenyon at Wirral Wrap, who has splashed out on brand new home and away kits for the whole team, including brand a brand new training kit that we used to warm up in.

We'd have been lost without Mark Bond at The Uniform Shop, Overpool, who went the extra mile to make sure the kits were ready in time for the game, including out kit for our mascot!

Just a really great day all around, where everyone was there for the kids and to make the day a memorable one. A real Grassroots Football moment, showcasing that football really is for everyone. ⚪️🔵⚽️🏆🥇🌞

A great day out in the sun at the well organised Greenleas Tournament last weekend, with almost half of our group taking part in their first ever tournament day out.

Lots of sun, ice cream and football. What more could you want!!

Tonight the clubs of Hope Farm JFC and Vicars Cross Dynamos JFC got together to take part in the inaugural Drinkwater Club, played in memory of Andy Drinkwater, who sadly passed away just before Christmas. Andy's son Finn plays for both clubs, so it was fitting that everyone was to able get together to show what the football community is all about.

Six games were played between Hope Farm Rangers Blues, Hope Farm Rangers Yellows, Vicars Cross Dynamos and Vicars Cross Dynamo C**t, with Vicars Cross Dynamos winning overall. 🔴⚫🔵⚪🟡

A real success of the night was the raffle, which was generously supported with amazing prizes and over 1500 tickets sold 🎟️🎟️, many being sold to attending families on the day who had already spent weeks advertising, donating and selling.

All games played in good spirits, as expected , and both teams had full squads, with some old faces making a one-off come back to support the day. The day was also wonderfully supported by players families, with a great turn out at AW Arena who kindly allowed for the tournament to take place in a great environment. Think the lucozade stocks might need replacing!!

Thanks to Darren Devaney for photography.

Tomorrow is our Drinkwater tournament, created in support of Finn and Jo after the sudden loss of Andy just before Christmas. The generosity and show of support from those within the football community and beyond has been humbling, but not surprising.

Tomorrow we get together to demonstrate what grassroots football is all about - supporting each other and the reminder that there is a whole community who have your back.

Kick off tomorrow at 5pm, with the raffle draw after the final game. Fingers crossed to all who have entered! Thank you all for your support 💪
