💚 World Mental Health Awareness Week at MacIntyre Wirral 💚

This week, we were proud to celebrate World Mental Health Awareness Week with two wonderful events here at MacIntyre Wirral.

We hosted a “Let’s Go for a Walk” session and a lovely Coffee & Cake Afternoon. It was fantastic to see so many people come together, connect, and support one another. Everyone truly came together, sharing laughter, fun, and companionship, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all 💚 There were plenty of smiles, great conversations, and a real sense of togetherness throughout the week.

There was also a raffle, with some fabulous prizes on offer – thank you to everyone who took part and we’re delighted to share that we raised £115 and this will be donated to the The Martin Gallier Project, supporting the important work they do for su***de prevention, intervention and postvention.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the week so special 💚

🌱☀️ The allotment is officially waking up for the growing season!

Barbara and Ronnie have been hard at work getting everything ready — from planting peas to sowing sunflower seeds and preparing the beds for a season full of colour and growth.

We’re especially excited about our “60 Sunflowers for MacIntyre’s 60th” project 🌻💛 — watching each seed go in feels like the start of something really special.

Here’s to muddy hands, sunny days, and a garden full of life! 🌿✨

Barbara had a fantastic day watching the Wirral Egg Run Tribute Ride-Out on the weekend🏍️💛

She really enjoyed seeing all the amazing bikes and waving at the riders as they passed by. It was a lovely atmosphere, and everyone could feel the sense of community and support that the event brings.

A big thank you to all the riders who took part and helped make the day so special – you definitely put smiles on a lot of faces 😊

✨ It’s Neurodiversity Celebration Week!

This week is about recognising and celebrating the different ways people think, learn, and experience the world. Neurodiversity includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other neurological differences that make each person unique.

Around 1 in 5 people are neurodivergent, and these differences bring valuable strengths like creativity, problem-solving, innovation and new perspectives.

Let’s use this week to promote understanding, acceptance and inclusion — in our schools, workplaces and communities. Different brains, different strengths. 💙
