Brownies out and about in Chester at the weekend - Adventures in Chester!

03/10/2026

If you were in Chester this weekend and saw lots of Brownies, Guides, Rangers and Rainbows....well some of them were from Ellesmere Port, and some of our leaders were volunteering too.

It's an event run by the Girlguiding North West England region team and we're having Adventures In Chester!

This is not one of the locals but I'm currently looking for photos I can share.

Hope it's all going well/gone well for all of our young members doing their 11+ today!

Girlguiding Ellesmere Port returns to meetings this week after the summer break, and we're all really excited to see old friends and welcome new ones!

If you have a potential Rainbow (aged 4-7), Brownie (aged 7-10), Guide (aged 10-14) or Ranger (aged 14-18) on a waiting list please check your emails including junk to make sure you haven't missed any messages.

We're doing our best to find spaces for everyone. We have availability in some units and age groups, but a few of our Rainbow units are currently oversubscribed, so you may have to wait a little while for an opening.

All the volunteers are doing their best and most of us also work full time so please don't worry if we go quiet for a couple of days.

If you'd like to help more girls enjoy the opportunities that guiding offers, we'd love to hear from you. Volunteers are always welcome! (And if Girlguiding isn't for you, then consider helping The Scouts, Sea Cadets or another local youth organisation. We all need volunteers.)
