BLACKENINGS!!

This short film marks the end of our project celebrating this wild North Eastern wedding tradition and the chaos and joy of each and every one.

We cannot thank all of the folks enough who submitted photos and videos, told us stories, shared a coffee and a chat with us and even invited us along for the ride!!

This project will form part of the permanent exhibition in the Pot Still creative arts space when we open in Spring 2028.

This project has been pure joy and we are so grateful for the support. A huge thanks also to Dr Shiela Young from the Elphinstone Institute at the University of Aberdeen for sharing her research with us and Jason Sinclair Films for capturing this project so brilliantly.

P.S Please tag those shown in the film, we’d love for them to see this full version!

Friday marked the end of our current block of Open Studios for the Creativity Skills Network.

We provided 13 clients with 1-1 creative sessions over 6 weeks in Art textiles, drawing, music production, editing, photography, video, creative writing, sewing skills and digital drawing.

Open Studios and the Creativity Skills Network (CSN) is an ongoing project managed by MADE as part of Moray Pathways. We provide creative sessions to enhance confidence and skill levels to allow clients to move into education, training or work or simply enhance and open opportunities in creative areas.

The CSN can be accessed by referral from local employability services, key workers and educational careers services. We also offer occasional public self-referrals, which are advertised on our socials and our MADE newsletters.
