How ‘bout them onions…

These bad babies were spotted last fall at the Cullen Community Allotments.

We are happy to hear that plants and veg from the Allotment Association will be available at the Cullen Community Centre and Garden, as it opens for the Moray Community Garden Festival (6–7 June)

There's superb growing, friendly faces, and a warm welcome waiting in Cullen.

Find out more about the gardens taking place by visiting One Seed Forward and check out what’s happening across Moray.

Climate action doesn’t need to be squeezed in.

We know there’s real willingness across organisations in Moray to take action, but finding the time can be a challenge.

So we are really pleased that SCVO ’s Growing Climate Confidence programme is coming to Moray to run a climatACTical session with us!

It’s a chance to step back, create a bit of space and look at what’s realistic and figure out what works for your organisation, with super practical input and support from SCVO.

And you are guaranteed to leave with having one clear step to take forward.

📅 Tuesday 16 June | 11:00am–1:30pm
📍 The Inkwell Moray , Elgin (Lunch included, but please book)

What a difference a bit of support can make…
Last year, Speyside Fields for Wildlife received Moray CAN funding to help with seeds and ground preparation...and WOW what a return on that investment!

This group is supporting and creating wildlife habitats across Speyside, including managing over 6 hectares of land for nature!
From wildflower meadows to bird seed crops, these spaces have been buzzing with bees, butterflies and other insects, and even attracting 25 goldfinches spotted feeding at one site 🐦
They’ve also: planted a 100m native hedge, removed non-native trees to restore habitats and brought people together through open days, volunteer work and welcoming spaces!

Congrats Speyside Fields for Wildlife - a great example of how small amounts of funding can grow into something really special!

Please remember our fund is open for applications until June 15. Apply via our website https://www.moraycan.org.uk/

Today is International Day for Biodiversity 🌿

From community gardens and wildflower projects to river restoration, seed libraries, dune systems and pollinator-friendly spaces — there’s so much happening across Moray to support nature recovery.

Biodiversity can sound like a big complicated word, but really it’s about protecting the wildlife, habitats and ecosystems that keep our communities healthy and resilient too.

Every patch planted for pollinators, every peatland restored, every tree cared for, every conversation about nature… it all matters.

We’d love to hear about local projects, favourite nature spots or small things people are doing for nature where they live 🌼🦋🐝

We popped in to see Jim at the Aberlour Glebe Garden with Jane from the Burghead Community Garden to see how their pond project is doing...and it’s looking great!

Both of these fabulous gardens are part of Moray's first ever Community Garden Festival (6–7 June).

One of the nicest things about community gardens is how welcoming they are!! So whether you grow your own, want to try a bit of growing, or just fancy a nosy around come along, have a wander and see what’s happening right here in Moray!
