RAFA Moray Branch Wings Appeal raised the most amazing amount of £559.76 at our fund-raising event yesterday at the Elgin Tesco store.

A massive thanks to all the amazing Tesco customers who so generously donated to the Royal Air Forces Association 'Wings Appeal'.

Thank you also to the Tesco Management, the Community Champion, and staff for their support and the opportunity to hold the event.

Members of the RAFA Moray Branch in support of the Wings Appeal, attended the RAF Lossiemouth Christmas Fete, Tuesday, 2 December 2025. The typhoon ducks were a really big seller. Unsure of final figure, but thank you to all who supported our stall.

Veterans Tribe Scotland are holding an online model making session via zoom on Monday, 8 December 2025, between 7.30 and 9pm.
This session is open to veterans and their family members and is for beginner to advanced level.
What about the models ?
If you are currently working on something then that's great, but if you are new to this then a model kit can be sent out to you to work on for your first session.
So if you would like to take part, email the coordinator at [email protected]
A link for the meeting will be sent to you. So take a chance, meet some like minded people and make new friends.

Christmas Crafts (Pt 2) in Moray
Veterans Tribe Scotland are holding a series of Christmas Crafts (Part 2) events at our regular venues, where you will have the opportunity to make something festive using Pyrography or Decoupage.
Venue is at D**e & District Village Hall, near Brodie, Forres, IV36 2TF. Friday, 5 December 2025, from 11am - 3pm.
Festive Pyrography Workshop:
Pyrography is the free handed art of decorating wood with burn marks from a heated object such as a poker iron.
Festive Decoupage Workshop:
Decoupage is an art form that involves cutting and gluing paper cutouts onto different objects like glass or wood to decorate and enhance its appearance.
Veterans, Families and Children welcome.
The hall has car parking and wheelchair access.
You may turn up on the day, but it would be appreciated if attending in order to ensure that we have enough materials and equipment for the day.
But you are still welcome to drop in anytime during the event!

Each year, RAFA Moray donate to the welfare parcels which are sent to our deployed personnel from Royal Air Force Lossiemouth.
Last Friday, 21 November 2025, two of our RAFA Moray members, Daphne and Peter Bloomfield (3 & 4 from the left) were on the base assisting other Station personnel in putting the 200 parcels together for distribution to Service personnel who will be away over the festive season.
We wish all deployed personnel and their families a safe festive season.

Veterans Tribe Scotland are holding a Christmas Crafts in Moray Day at D**e & District Village Hall, near Brodie, Forres, IV36 2TF, on Friday, 7 November 2025, from 11am - 3pm.
What can I expect ?
Choose from different craft activities including:
Christmas Gifts
Christmas Wreaths
Decorations
Cards
All craft materials will be provided.
Veterans, Families and Children welcome.
The hall has car parking and wheelchair access.
The opportunity to meet new people and catch up with old friends.
Hot and cold refreshments with biscuits and cakes
Plenty of chat, friendly atmosphere and laughter
Details on all events and activities coming up in the future
If you want to attend, it is very helpful for us if you register your name to attend - this helps to make sure there will be enough materials and of course refreshments!

Veterans Tribe Scotland are joining with Bound By Veterans, and holding a Five Day Online Bookbinding Workshop via zoom during November on the following dates: Thursday, 13th, Friday, 14th, Monday, 17th, Tuesday, 18th and Wednesday, 19th. Timings for each day are 10.00am till 5.00pm.
We will look at a number of different projects measuring and gluing over the five days which will be made from beautiful papers and book cloth.
At the end of the workshop you will have made beautiful pieces of work at home to impress and amaze your friends and family
Lots of laughs
Make something special in the company of friends

How will this work ?
All materials and tools will be provided and will be sent to your home address before the workshop
Mylyn at BBV will take us through the Bookbinding process via a zoom call to your location
After the workshop you then return the tools to Bound By Veterans, using a pre-paid courier service picked up from your home
Although it can be helpful, you do not need to have taken part in one of the taster sessions previously.
