423-Elgin Sqn Air Training Corps 423 (Elgin) Squadron, Air Cadets meet every Monday & Friday 18:30 - 21:30 As a cadet you'll have the opportunity to do things that others only dream about.

423 (Elgin) Sqn is part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadet Organisation which encompasses both the Air Training Corps (ATC) and Combined Cadet Force (CCF). Aimed at young Men and Women between 12-19 in secondary school There are currently some 900 ATC Sqns and 200 CCF units around the UK massing together some 45000 cadets and 9000 Adult Staff. ng out on adventurous training and camps, sometimes overseas? Normal for cadets. Competitive sports, drill, shooting, music, abseiling, engineering projects? Our list of activities is long, varied and open to all cadets. Yes it's a challenge, but that's what life's all about.

Last Night we said farewell to Squadron Leader Max Woolfson. After 23 years as an Air Cadet Adult Volunteer and over 18 years as the Commanding Officer the time has come for him to have a well earned break.

We have two new badges this week from our cadets here at 423!
A first class badge for Erica Logan, which is the first of many with us im sure and just in time for flying today too!✈️
We had a number of cadets attend the just passed, skills week hosted at RAF Lossiemouth, and run by North Scotland Wing Air Training Corps, RAFAC William Smith worked hard during the week to attain his bronze shot🥳

Congratulations again to Cdts Logan and Smith, everyone at 423 is incredibly proud and eager to see what they do next

We are very pleased to say that Cpl Maisie Mclennan passed her Bronze DofE! 🥳
Bronze DofE is the second step in four through cadets. Maisie achieved her blue a little while ago and has been working hard to achieve bronze.

The whole team at 423 are so very proud of her!

Last month two of our cadets, CWO Wilson and Sgt Burnett took part in a team learning arms drill and a continuity sequence. With thanms to WO Gardiner for teaching the arms drill and helping with the refinement of the sequence. The team went on to compete at the Scotland and Northern Ireland Competitions Day.Great result with second place especially after only two days of training. Well Done Team 423!
