Upcoming stubble field race being ran by GMCCπŸ‘

17/11/2019

We would like to just say a massive thank you and congratulations to Ricky Mair, Frazer Norrie and Gavin Johnston. The 3 of them headed over to Portugal last week to compete in this year's ISDE 6 day Enduro on behalf of EEC. We are very grateful to the 3 riders and everyone else who travelled out to support them and keep them going. Ricky unfortunately finished up on day 2 after suffering a concussion. Frazer and Gavin completed all 6 days with Frazer even coming up with a 3rd place for his efforts.

I know Dad would have been immensely proud of the efforts of all 3 and would have found the bright side in Ricky's misfortune.

We hope Ricky is on the mend and that Frazer and Gavin get a good rest when they come home, fair to say they've earned it.

Thank you for doing the club proud this year. Thank you to everyone who supported the guys from home and out in Portugal πŸ‘βœŠ

Very disappointing to see this especially as the team at DBE stepped up to give you all a round that we could no longer run. Every entry matters for events like this. Get those entries in for their next event peopleπŸ‘

Thoughts with the family and friends at this awful time.

A man who was pivotal to the sport for decades. πŸοΈπŸ’™

JOHN LITTLE 1935 – 2019 It is with great sadness that we report the passing of John Little, former trials and enduro rider who had suffered two dibilitating strokes recently and slipped away …

****Birkenhill announcement/update***

As some of you may have seen DBE now have our date for this months forthcoming hare and hounds round.

This is down to the fact that the field and woodland we have been using, that some of you will know and will have become familiar with as Birkenhill. Is currently not available to us and the ground is being prepared for property development therefore not somewhere we can use. Our last event we held at birkenhill is very likely the last time that that particular area will be used for such events. We were hoping we would still be able to get this event done but they are working far faster than we had been prepared for. We are bitterly disappointed about this as we have already had to cancel an event earlier this year due to the condition of the forrest.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and keeping all you guys/girls in the dark with this but we've been trying to arrange an alternative that sadly hasn't been possible.

We would like to thank DBE and everyone involved down there for taking this date into their hands and providing you all with this round as scheduled.

We will be posting details for next year when dates etc have been solidified. Thank you everyone for your support, as always, we're very grateful.

To enter this round head over to their website and get your entry in. We're sure it'll be a great weekends riding πŸ‘βœŠ-

** Monaughty Update **

As most of you will know we were set to host another Scottish Enduro Championship round in Monaughty Forrest next month. Sadly we have had to cancel this round as the Forrest is as overgrown at the minute that it would be too much work in the time slots we are allowed. Monaughty hasn't been used for a couple of years now, we were hopeful we would get a round out there last year but with the passing of Barry we cancelled as there were more important things to deal with. I'm sure you all understand and we are grateful for all of your support since.

With the standard that the club have held our events at for the best part of a decade, we feel like it would be doing an injustice to our riders and reputation to cut corners or give you anything less than 100%. Rider safety is of the highest importance to us at EEC and with Monaughty being a more technical/dangerous forrest, we feel this is our only option.

A quick side note for anyone who has heard the same rumours that we have - Everything/Any rumours currently circulating, hold very little truth to them. The club is still running, we have been quiet on social media as we have been working on our schedule and a few unexpected situations that have hit us without warning.

As always we are only a message away and open to all questions and queries. Although you read this on every post - we appreciate the support as always and are thankful for all your loyalty✊🏁

https://www.facebook.com/189671417740973/posts/2675427095832047/ Just to let you all know your egg donations from Lossie were much appreciated 😁

The members at Out of the Darkness Theatre Company would like to thank everyone at Elgin Endurance Club who organised the donation of Easter Eggs to charity groups across Moray.

Our members were over the moon at being given an Easter Egg to take home with them today. The rest of our members will receive one on their next day.

It means such a lot to everyone here to have such kindness shown by the local community at large. 😊🐣🍫🌟
