Moray Community Pottery A friendly community group welcoming everyone, accessible to all 🏺 👋🏼Welcome to Moray Community Pottery and thanks for checking out our page!

Every Tuesday evening 6:00 - 8:00pm, in Lhanbryde Community Centre. Our aim is to make the experience of Pottery & Ceramics affordable and accessible to all, children, adults & families. You’ll find us a very welcoming, small group of enthusiastic potters. Our individual potter experience is varied, from the complete novice to a little more experienced. We are self led, which enables all our work to be unique, and as creative as we like! Because we are a mostly self-led group, we require all new members to attend a taster session before becoming a regular member. This ensures that all members already know the basics and reduces the risk of accidents in the kiln. We run taster sessions throughout the year and they will always be advertised on this page! We also run themed pottery painting events throughout the year; valentines, easter, halloween, christmas etc! Any other questions please get in touch here :)

Meet one of our volunteers and committee members - Sam!
Sam has been with us a couple of years now - she also has her own kiln at home and has been dabbling at pottery for a long time! Sam often helps at our taster sessions so if you see her please say hi! 👋

🌟REINTRODUCTION🌟
Since we have had a lot of interest over the last couple of days, we wanted to reintroduce ourselves to you!
We are Moray Community Pottery, we formed in 2022 as a group of amateur potters who wanted a space to be able to continue the hobby affordably. Since then we have hosted numerous taster sessions, PYO sessions and private sessions.
We are entirely volunteer run and our sessions are run as close to cost as possible to make them as affordable as possible for our community.
We run our hand-building sessions out of Lhanbryde Community Centre and run regular weekly sessions for members!
We strive to make pottery an accessible and affordable hobby in the Moray area and seeing everyone’s interest and support over the last few days has moved us to tears.
Over the next few days we want to introduce you to a few of our volunteers! Please do follow us on our socials and like and share - your support really does allow us to grow and improve!

We are absolutely beyond words! That is the second taster session sold out in just two hours! Honestly everyone’s support has moved us to tears!
For now that will be the last of the tasters we will advertise at the moment - however we may have some more for you around October time!
Since there are a few new people here, we will pop up a new post and reintroduce ourselves and who we are and what we do so please keep an eye out and share if you can!
