Morning all,
I know you are all getting frazzled with all the votes for grants. This is our last one for a while!
The Wards takes considerable time to maintain it to a good standard and we need new tools (electric strimmer’s etc). Could I ask your family and friends to vote for us please https://tsimoray.org.uk/funding/eco-youth-fund-for-sustainability/

Don't forget the Quiz ! Was a great night last time

With the success of our last Scout Quiz Fundraiser, we are organising another one on 21 November. The theme of this one will be All Things Christmas as the festive period begins.
Poster attached for information - please do e-mail the address given to let us know you are coming and with how many tickets to reserve.

Raffles - we will have a raffle at this one again and would greatly appreciate any donations to support with this.

A huge thank you to Stuart and his B&Q team for their incredible support! They generously provided materials and a full day's labour to install safety solar lights in our previously unlit car park, and also took the time to tidy up the overgrown area of the car park.
We’re deeply grateful for this contribution and for everything B&Q have done to support us and the wider community groups who use the land not just at this event but over the years!

A massive thank you to Andy, the owner of Wakeley Tree Surgeons in Fochabers Wakeley Tree Surgeons Ltd. After the recent storms, our woods were worse for wear, branches were down and hanging dangerously. Andy came out, assessed the situation, and kindly sent two of his team to remove all hazards and give the area a clean bill of health.
It was the ultimate professional service, and we’re especially grateful that it was done free of charge. Thanks to your generosity, numerous community groups can once again safely enjoy the woods.

Big shoutout to the superheroes of Elgin High Street tonight – 1st Elgin Scout Group and Positive Action Group, armed with bin bags instead of capes, making rubbish disappear faster than my willpower in front of a chip shop. 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

We are on the hunt for some enthusiastic adventurers particularly to support our beavers section. 🌟

As a group we have seen significant growth over the past 5 years across our age ranges, due mostly to the fantastic programme delivered by our volunteers.

To keep the programme running we are looking for some keen adults to support our teams.

Volunteering in Moray

Dear all,
I hope you're well.
Elgin Fire Station has kindly invited 1st Elgin Scouts to run a BBQ as part of their upcoming Charity Day on Sat 30th August. It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise funds, with profits from the day being split between the Firefighters’ Charity and Scouting.
Graeme James Tytler (Cub leader) has kindly offered to lead the cooking, and Laura Tytler (Chair) will coord the event with a couple of leaders. We’re now looking for 2–3 volunteers to help with setup, serving, and general support on the day.
🕙 Timings:
• Arrive by 10:00 AM
• BBQ running from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
If you're available and willing to lend a hand (even for part of the day), please let me know as soon as possible by messenger. Your help would make a real difference and it promises to be a fun and rewarding day.
