HAPPY MONDAY!

We are now recruiting here at Pride In Moray, fancy joining our board? Please email [email protected] to express your interest in any of the roles outlined above.

If you feel you want a board role, but can only do a wee bit, we can have multiple people in the same role sharing responsibilities, ability and disability need not hold you back, we can adapt.

We would love to hear from people with lived experience of being LGBT+, people with multiple protected characteristics, and allies are also welcome!

We are always looking to grow our casual volunteer pool too, please email if you would like to be added to that list!

You might have heard by now but…..

Hi, my name is Vicky Adamczyk, I use she/they pronouns. I am from Moray originally and have returned after 20 years of life, adventure, learning and skill building, ready to take the reins of Pride In Moray, and be the role model I needed growing up here.

Pride is and will always be a protest, we are here, and we deserve acceptance without exception, and to live an authentic life.

Pride In Moray will be back next year with a bang, I hope you’ll join me and our PIM board to create a beautiful thing for all of us LGBTQ+ people and our Allies living in Moray.

We are deeply saddened by the events that took place at Berlin Pride this weekend. No one should ever have to feel afraid to be themselves or to live openly and proudly as who they are.

Moments like these remind us that Pride began as a protest and, while it is a celebration of our vibrant and diverse community, it also remains a powerful stand for equality, visibility, and the right to live without fear.

To our friends in Berlin, please know that you are not alone. The Pride in Moray community stands with you in solidarity, today and always.

Together, we will continue to raise our voices, support one another, and work towards a world where everyone can live authentically and safely.

We'll be back next year, stronger than ever. Watch this space.

UPDATE: We now have a new Chair for our Board. We will probably in the not too distant future be looking for more roles to filled. We will keep you all posted. Thanks to everyone who showed an interest in being our Chair, it was very much appreciated ☺️

URGENT....

Pride in Moray has unfortunately found itself without a Chair on the current board. As a registered charity there is a requirement for a functioning board of at least 3 office bearing roles…

• Chair
• ⁠Treasurer
• ⁠Secretary

As things stand, we cannot continue as a charity if there is not a Chair on the Board. The Chair oversees everything regarding Pride in Moray and would work closely with all board members.

We require someone who is passionate about positive change for the LGBTQIA+ community in Moray to thrive! The role can be daunting however rest assured there is utmost support and guidance available, should you need it.

Please get in touch if you think this could be you whether you are just interested in more information or want to be considered for the role.

Ongoing support and thanks go out to the community of Moray and we wish to continue to support as best as we can 🏳️‍🌈

🌈Happy Pride Month!

Pride is a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship, to show how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, and how in some places there's still work to be done.

LGBT+ stands for le***an, gay, bisexual and transgender. The + is an inclusive symbol to mean 'and others' to include people of all identities.

Pride month is about acceptance, equality, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

It also calls for people to remember how damaging homophobia was and still can be.

Pride is all about being proud of who you are no matter who you love.

This Sunday! 1pm at New Elgin Hall

Do you have spare time in your week and are passionate about Pride in Moray's mission?

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about Pride in Moray’s goals and has a bit of extra time in their week to keep the charity running as new board members.

❤️‍🩹As some of you may be aware, our Chair has made the difficult decision to step down from the role. As a volunteer-led charity, everyone involved is working hard to keep the charity alive in their own free time, on top of work and daily life.

🫵We need you! We are holding an Extraordinary General Meeting on Sunday 31st May in New Elgin Hall at 1pm. Come along on the day to find out more about the roles, volunteering with Pride in Moray or shoot us a message if you have any questions!
