πŸ“ East Beach Road will be temporarily closed from the Pavilion to the end of the car park.

The closure is to allow the Fundraiser Colour Run for Hopeman Primary School to take place. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒˆπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

This August, Hopeman will be hosting a unique community arts project, "Everything That's Still Is Preparing to Move", led by Sharon Took-Zozaya.

Inspired by Hopeman's incredible rock formations, this exciting project combines dance, physical theatre and video, bringing together people of all ages to create a special community performance.

πŸ“£ Sharon is currently looking for 2–3 more young people (aged 9+) to take part!

No previous experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. It's a fantastic opportunity to work alongside professional dancers, develop new skills, make friends and be part of something truly unique for our village.

πŸ“… Workshops: 17th–22nd August
πŸ“ Hopeman Memorial Hall

🎟️ FREE Performance
Come along and support our local participants at the final performance:

πŸ“… Saturday 22nd August
πŸ•– 7:00pm
πŸ“ Hopeman Memorial Hall

Although the performance is completely free, the organisers kindly ask that you book a free ticket using the QR code on the poster. This helps them record attendance for their funding report and supports future community arts projects.

If you're looking for something a little different this summerβ€”whether you'd like to take part or simply enjoy the performanceβ€”we'd love to see you there!

Please share this post with anyone who may have a young person (aged 9+) who would enjoy getting involved. πŸ’™πŸŽ

If you've been down by the harbour recently, you may have noticed a beautiful addition to our seafront!

The Hopeman Floral Group has lovingly transformed the historic Morag M into a stunning floral display, bringing new life to a boat that holds a special place in Hopeman's history.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Hazel MacPherson for generously donating the boat, which originally belonged to her husband, Mason MacPherson.

The Morag M has a rich connection with our village. Hazel's father, the boat's first owner, fished for salmon from her along the Hopeman, Lossie and Burghead coastline. Many local residents will remember the Morag M with great fondness and have happy memories of seeing – or even fishing from – this much-loved boat.

The photos show the incredible journey of the restoration.

A huge thank you to the Hopeman Floral Group and everyone who helped bring this project to life. It's a fantastic example of our community working together to preserve a piece of Hopeman's heritage while adding colour and beauty to the village for residents and visitors alike. πŸ˜€β€οΈ
