This young tree planter is Emma from Marr College who, with her partner Emily, were winners of the Rotary GB&I Young Environmentalist competition 25/26 (Intermediate Team entry). Emma is planting the silver birch sapling she won. Emma and Emily were sponsored by Troon Rotary. Rotary Scotland South makes a difference to our Environment. Our newest member, Sue Low, recounted her career story from Air Traffic Control, Prestwick to banking, bookkeeping and Olive farming. And from London to Australia, Indonesia, Australia again and back to Scotland which this year is almost as dry and hot as Oz! Welcome to Rotary, Sue!

Izzy Almond spoke to our members today about the Turing Trust and its marvellous work recycling and reconditioning computers and sending them to Malawi and other countries providing IT education for thousands of young people. Many congratulations to the amazing Rotaractors at the brand new Rotaract Club - Edinburgh - The newest chartered Rotaract Club in Great Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland.
