Our Monday group greatly enjoyed visiting the Abbey Strand Centre yesterday for a dementia-friendly illustrated talk on Mary Queen of Scots. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Fiona Johnston, Community Access Manager, for her beautiful violin playing, warm welcome, and excellent hospitality. The visit was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we are grateful for such a memorable experience 🎻🏰

What a brilliant day out at Museum Social at the National Museum of Scotland! 🏛️✨ Our monthly trip gave everyone the chance to explore the fascinating First Warriors of Scotland exhibition, with a special session led by the curator. We enjoyed refreshments together and even handled replica broadswords and axes — a fantastic hands-on experience and a great day for all! ⚔️

In April 2025, I retired from my role as Chief Financial Officer at the Bank of Scotland Foundation. Following my retirement, I started volunteering for the Day Service at The Eric Liddell Community Hub every Thursday.

The day service contributes to the community through aiding the elderly and those with dementia. I have seen firsthand the fabulous difference this day service makes to the clients attending.
