Cearcall Còmhraidh

Cearcall Còmhraidh Cearcall Còmraidh are a friendly Scottish Gaelic conversation group based in Edinburgh. If you are a beginner, don't be nervous!

Cearcall Comhraidh meet every Tuesday evening (except Christmas and New Year) to chat in Scottish Gaelic. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a fluent speaker, you are welcome to come along. We are very informal so while we will group you with people of the same ability, we don't have any set topics for conversation. This is a great opportunity to get started with listening and speaking, and it's completely up to you how much you try to say in Gaelic. There is always a fluent speaker at the beginner's table and everyone is very helpful so you can learn a lot. The first week you come along is always free and then it's £2 a session. We are a not-for-profit organisation and this money is used to fund your tea and biscuits as well as help build on resources available to Cearcall members.

Hi everyone,

We are aware that many of you travel to Cearcall on public transport and that we have a mixed age group, so this is just to let you all know that Cearcall is on hold indefinitely until matters improve with the corona virus situation.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all again when things are better.
