Are you passionate about inspiring churches to be communities of care and belonging for children and families? As Church and Community Relationship Coordinator, you will inspire, resource and activate individuals and churches to understand the biblical mandate to care for children and families.

If this role is for you, you'll:
🌟 Be relational, approachable and encouraging.
🌟 Have experience of leading teams of volunteers.
🌟 Have knowledge of the church landscape within the area, with a wide understanding of different denominations.

Two updates:

1. We are expanding our work across Scotland which means we have a new job out - https://safefamilies.uk/job_roles/mid-scotland-crc - This is for someone with a heart to engage with churches across Forth Valley, Fife and Dundee, with occasional inputs in Perth and Kinross. Its a full time role and applications close in 10 days! Please send to anyone interested

2. SU Scotland and Home for Good are partnering together to offer short weekend breaks for families with adopted children, to share together in beautiful natural surroundings. The programme will be geared towards 8-11 year olds with their families, although children younger or older are welcome. We are running one at Lendrick Muir 13-15th November and there will be one at Allnatcriche 20-22nd November. https://form.jotform.com/261413775557363

For many teenage boys, meaningful change begins with relationship.

With earlier support, stronger relationships, and more people willing to step forward, many boys could experience a very different future. There is a significant opportunity, particularly within churches where there are already strong cultures of volunteering, service, and relationship, to make a difference for teenage boys across the UK.

Are you a children and youth worker or volunteer?

We would love to invite you to our new online training: An Introduction to Using a Therapeutic Approach in Children and Youth Ministries.

This free, 90-minute session introduces you to using a therapeutic approach in church settings. We will look at supporting all children and young people, especially those who:

🌟 Are care experienced
🌟 Have special educational needs
🌟 Have high anxiety
🌟 Have experienced trauma
🌟 Struggle to engage in groups

The session is delivered by our Therapeutic and Trauma Informed Team, who all have children who are care experienced and/or neurodivergent. It will include a brief overview of the barriers children and young people can face along with practical strategies to support them.
