We help anyone 60+ or anyone living with a disability in Edinburgh to repair, improve, and adapt their homes—supporting safe & independent living.

With 40 years’ service, we complete over 6,000 jobs each year across the city. All contact details below. Care & Repair Edinburgh is a local charity dedicated to enabling older people and people with disabilities to continue to live independently and safe in their own homes by providing a range of services from small repairs to adaptations. As well as arranging for works we assist with disabled ad

aptations, provide a list of approved tradesmen, provide financial support, assist with hospital discharge or, where we can’t help, provide a listening ear and helpful phone number of someone who can.

👉 Need a trusted trader? Visit www.cre.scot and submit a service request today.

If we can't carry out the work ourselves, we can refer you to trusted local tradespeople through our Trade Referral Scheme. All traders on our referral list are vetted, provide references, hold appropriate insurance, and sign up to our Code of Conduct.

We can refer clients to a range of trades, including:

✅ Plumbers
✅ Painters
✅ Roofers
✅ Builders
✅ And many more

Our Code of Conduct requires traders to communicate clearly, attend appointments as arranged, provide written estimates, treat clients and their homes with respect, and ensure work is completed to a satisfactory standard.

Last year, we made over 1,600 referrals to trusted and vetted tradespeople, helping older and disabled people across Edinburgh find reliable contractors.
