Neo Productions Over the years this has also included working in South Africa to create links between and draw on the talent of both countries.

Neo Productions is an Edinburgh-based multi-cultural theatre company, established in 2004, to give people from the black and minority ethnic population of Scotland opportunities to develop their on-stage and back-stage skills and to promote work by black and minority ethnic writers. We have developed a track-record for:
• Creating new shows and involving as many people as possible from a diverse b

ackground.
• Discovering new black and ethnic minority talent.
• Creating unique shows which reflect the experiences and history of black and ethnic minority people living in Scotland. The company’s initial production was ‘Once Were Free’ performed in the 2004 Fringe Festival. The second was a workshopped performance of ‘Viva Mandela’ in North Edinburgh Arts, 2007. Various production ideas have been discussed and created since. We are now working on ‘Shona: The Musical’ as our next project.

Calling all Black Carers! Come and share your story on the 12th July and be part of a powerful short film about working in the care sector as a Black person in Scotland.

On Saturday 12th July, we’re hosting a filming day to celebrate and spotlight the voices of Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) carers, and we would be honoured to have you with us.

Too often, the contributions, challenges, and stories of BME carers go unseen. To combat this, we're creating a vibrant, heartfelt short film that will centre your voice, your experience, and your strength as a carer.

We’ll provide food, refreshments, and a safe, welcoming space for you to express yourself. No experience in front of a camera is needed, just come as you are.

Date: Saturday 12th July
Location: St David's Carrick Knowe Church
Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm
