Day 15: After a few of the Explorers tried to get some sleep overnight by the campfire, it was time to head home. Talking to all the Explorers, everyone was a little sad for the camp to be ending, but also happy to be on the way back home. It is safe to say that everyone has had a great time and will be sharing stories about the last two weeks for a while.

We’d like to give a shoutout to all of our Explorers for being amazing on this trip, but particularly our leavers, who have been a great to have along for the ride over the last 4 years. We wish them the best of luck for their future!

Day 14: Our final full day was spent striking camp burning lots of left over firewood. We went to the closing ceremony in the evening and then went back to camp to burn even more firewood! It was a great evening for all the Explorers despite us not being sure if everyone actually went to bed!

Day 13: Today Liam turned 18, so lots of the day was spent celebrating this big milestone! Activities were still happening for the Explorers to be able to join. Some of the Explorers spent the time sleeping wherever they could! Later on in the evening, some of the younger Explorers went out on to the water as a special last minute activity.

Day 12! Today was international day at the Spejdernes Lejr, we started the morning with a well deserved lie in before piping through the subcamp and setting up our ceilidh - where over the day we had roughly 600 participants!
Graham became airborne at the group photo, before we headed to the international campfire hosted by Scoutadelic, where we learned lots of songs and dances from other countries!

Day 11: More groups went off to Roskilde for the day, while some stayed behind and took part in activities on site along with our friends from Nykobing that were camping with. We had beetroot burgers for dinner so everything was even more pink! The day ended with an “underground party”. Some of the lucky explorers got to stay in the cathedral at Roskilde overnight, falling asleep to a symphony of snoring.

Day 10: Subcamp day had us completing challenges all around our subcamp, Skoven (Forest) to collect information for the camp robot ‘Botton Powel’. Later on in the evening we spent the time chilling out with camp.

Day 9: Activities were in full flow today with the camp-wide game of Assassin starting and causing general (good) chaos around the camp. The oldest Explorers got to venture out to Roskilde and see what there was to offer today. The day ended with an event at the main stage.

Day 8: The morning was spent making sure our camp was set up and then we moved on to some activities around the camp, from international friendship to carbon capture processes, there was something for everyone! While some chose to get on the train that goes across camp, others thought it would be better to catch some Z’s. The day was complete with the opening ceremony at the main stage with everyone in attendance wearing their uniforms from all the different countries.

Day 7: we started the day early to get on our way to the Jamboree for part 2 of our Denmark trip. After Ewan piped us in we got straight to work pioneering and pitching our tents. It’s brilliant to see so many Scouts from so many different countries. We can’t wait to see what the jamboree has to offer!

Day 6: The day our panthers turned pink!!
The day started with some Christmas tree wrapping shenanigans, before we headed to the Medieval History Centre.
We saw the world’s biggest trebuchet, and Explorer Liam got to fire it as a special early birthday present!
After lunch we saw the jousting competition, where we invested a new member of our unit!
We were then allowed some free time, in which a selection of explorers purchased some (temporary) hair dye and became true PINK panthers! 🩷🩷
Everyone then went to bed in a very orderly fashion to get a good sleep before we head to the Jamboree tomorrow! 😴
