EXHIBITION: A Place We Share 25th to 31st of July 2026 // Opening 24th
July 6-8pm

A Place We Share brings together 11 contemporary photographic
artists whose work is made in Scotland and explores the country as it is experienced today.

Moving between the poetic and the factual, the exhibition considers social, cultural and anthropological themes through the distinct perspective of each
artist. Together, the works create a collective record of what we notice, experience and feel about contemporary Scotland.

The exhibition is curated by Jaime A. Molina, Director of .scot , and will be presented at St Margaret’s House in Edinburgh from 25th to 31st of July 2026.

A Place We Share creates space for ambitious new photographic work

A good news story.

A charity called Scot-Art who now own the West Kirk, Tower and Drum of St Nicholas church have plans to utilise the Drum Isle space for hosting ceilidhs, Burns suppers, art exhibitions, music festivals etc. and in doing so hopefully increase footfall to the heart of the city centre.

As importantly they’ll take care of the building’s fabric (parts go back to 1151) and are trying to raise £1.9 million over the next couple of years to carry out refurbishment, maintenance and to keep the exterior of the kirk in “tip-top shape”.
