Our new Educational Programmes initiative aims to help new and aspiring engineers develop the necessary groundwork to be fast-tracked into their project of choice. Content will be delivered on a weekly basis, switching between your project of choice and general skills i.e.: Python, MATLAB, etc.

Programme members will have the option to join informal seminars to better cultivate understanding and hone relevant skills, as well as the occasional invitation to attend the meetings of your project of choice for an insight of the interior operations of the project and how teams function.

We will also be working with those from both research institutions and industry to deliver talks and information sessions from wider disciplines that may not fall within the traditional scope of your chosen project teams’ remit.

This academic year will oversee courses organised by the project leaders of Winds of Change, Floating Wind Challenge, and Precious Plastics. Follow the link below to sign up, applications close on Friday the 18th:

Introducing our new educational programmes initiative – these sessions will be flexible learning opportunities with the aim of strengthening your general knowledge on STEM-related skills and further equip you to excel in our application cycle next year.

Sessions will consist of general learning material alongside workshops on skills and tools utilised in our respective projects. This week’s agenda will be a crash course on the basics of MATLAB, you may find the information sheet in the Resource Hub linked below. Progress through it at your own pace, and feel free to contact us for any questions on the material or the course at large.

You will also be welcome to attend regular project meetings for those that interest you in order to gain a better understanding of how their teams function, as well as seek guidance on the educational materials they've posted if applicable.

More information including the curriculum and individual project meeting schedules will be released soon & project-specific material will commence next week.
