The meetings are structured to maximise speaking opportunities for all of the participants and offer you experience in making prepared and impromptu speeches - which help you to develop the ability to speak confidently and powerfully at a moments notice. All participants benefit from constructive real-time feedback which helps them to replace bad habits with good habits, learn and grow. Toastmasters clubs are open to anyone, and many professional speakers and leaders gave their careers a real boost at a Toastmasters club. We have members from all walks of life, ages and nations in Edinburgh. Because the emphasis is on encouragement, learning and acceptance, everyone wants to come back and participate again. We have a mentoring programme to get you started and worldclass training materials to allow you to gain presentation and leadership qualifications that are recognised worldwide. Agenda - We meet every second Tuesday starting promptly at 7pm, finishing 9:00 pm. Usually, we would go to the local pub to chat about the meeting and hang out with friends, but some of us now hang around on zoom for a while after.
