Congratulations to the winners of the BAD/ASME Education prize for best oral presentation, at the 102nd BAD Annual Meeting: Miss Shivani Puri, Dr Jonathan Guckian and Dr Noha Elshimy.

Chair of the BAD UG Work Stream Prof Mini Singh said ‘The initiative with the Association for the Study of Medical Education is key to promoting excellence in dermatology education.’

Dr Stuart Cohen, senior judge on the panel said ‘Miss Shivani Puri, Dr Jonathan Guckian and Dr Noha Elshimy presented a project in which they utilised a technology-enhanced learning intervention for the treatment of keloid scarring and central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia.’

Dr Cohen added, ‘Although they were unable to demonstrate a lasting improvement in their learners' knowledge, the work provides a basis for future interventions. In awarding them the prize from a strong field of contenders, the judges commended their thoughtful analysis of this topical subject and the clarity of the presentation. ‘
