Wildfire Women's Choir

Wildfire Women's Choir We are a friendly drop in women's community choir, based in Edinburgh. Learn songs by ear, no need to read music! Wildfire's song leader is Penny Stone.

We sing in the beautiful Inverleith St Serf's Church on 1a Clark Road, EH5 3BD (just off Ferry Road)
How to find us: Enter on Clark Road through the door marked 'St Serf's Church Centre' and take the corridor at the left to the church. It is a lovely open singing space with enough room for every woman who wants to come and sing. We are a drop in choir- no need to come along every week or sign up for a term, just come when you can!

£6 or £3 for unwaged/low income (self-declared, we trust you). Wildfire has always kept fees low so that every woman who would like to come and sing with us can do so. This lovely new venue is costing us a bit more, so we invite only those who are able to do so to add a £ or two to their fee so that we can continue to sing together in spaces that allow everyone to come, regardless of numbers. It is also possible to pay 'up-front' for the full term, at the beginning of the term, and get a 10% discount for doing so. For example, term fees for a 9 week term paid up front are: £48.60 (instead of £54)
or concessionary rate of £24.30 (instead of £27) for unwaged / low income. Please speak to one of the committee if you wish to do this. Penny is very well known as a song-writer, performer, community musician and teacher, and campaigner for peace and social justice - as well as being a great song leader with Wildfire. She is also a song leader with Protest in Harmony. You can find out more on her website, and see all of the wonderful singing videos she has created over lockdown on her YouTube channel. https://singlouderthanguns.com/
