Wonderful day at the Canal festival! That's the only photo we managed at the end as we were so busy! We have lots of comments from the community for our local place plan and our bikes were in high demand! ❤️🚲

Hello friends! Pedal on Parliament is this Saturday, please come along and bring your family and friends to demonstrate that Scotland is keen and enthusiastic for a better active travel infrastructure - and safer roads!

We are going to meet at 10:40 at the Bruntsfield Links, by the cute BANZAI bike shed - you can't miss it, so nicely decorated by children!

Come along! We are waiting for you, helmets in hand (or better, on head 😉)

Are you connected to Bruntsfield, Merchiston, Marchmont or Sciennes? Have you not quite got round to filling out our survey yet? Polls will close this Sunday 31 May so give it a go now, it only takes 10 minutes, go on you know you want to.

What? Thoughts on the local area
Why? To influence its future
Who? You!

Thanks so much to everyone who has completed it so far and to for making it possible.

The National Emergency Briefing was a major event in communicating to politicians (and other powerful people) the true extent of the challenges we face from climate change and breeching multiple planetary boundaries. Action is more likely if we all understand the truth and turn up the pressure on politicians to acknowledge and deal with reality, rather than just keeping heads in the sand and hoping that somehow it'll just magically go away.

ECCAN are putting on screenings of the film followed by discussion (tomorrow, Wed, 3pm and 6.30pm) :
https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peoples-emergency-briefing-film-screening-edinburgh-tickets-1987057244709

🗣️ What to expect:
Film screening (50 mins)
Facilitated group discussion (1 hour)
The discussion is a key part of the event – offering space to reflect, share perspectives and explore what meaningful action could look like locally.
Open to ECCAN members, community groups and anyone interested in climate and nature action. No prior knowledge needed.
