Barr’s need to listen to their Customers.

We want BARR to take the Aspartame out and revert back to the Original Recipe! We will not be buying the "New" product. A.G Barr! Will you wake up to what your consumers are telling you? or do we need to organise a public buyout ? To date the public response to the recipe change has been overwhelmingly negative! However the company has clearly ignored the public sentiment and does not engage with the feedback being received. This shows a lack of customer care and points to a purely profit focussed business strategy. All the while the company have sought to promote biased views based on public tests that are in the first place non scientific and not up to laboratory or scientific standard and these tend to be carried out by third parties that are on the Barr payroll. Inciting a conflict of interest!

We would also like you to answer as to how you can promote the "NEW" recipe as "Original" and "Best" as these are statements that you are making to promote your product. Therefore they have to be based on fact for marketing and advertising rules. Otherwise I am sure you are liable for misrepresentation and also the trade description act.

Ronnie Hanna Chairman and Roger White CEO should be ashamed at how they are managing BARR and completely ignoring a very loyal and patriotic customer base.

I sincerely wonder how much of the board's bonus is weighted against tax reduction and write off ??? We will boycott all products from BARR until the Aspartame is removed from IRN-BRU and the Original Recipe restored.
