Last week we kick-started our Big Sis, Lil Sis mentorship programme in the best way possible with our very first session, An Ode to Love, led by the incredible Fatou Sow.

Fatou is a Master’s student at the University of Edinburgh, a Critical Learning Coach, social scientist, human behavioural researcher, and the founder of the Critical Learner Collective - and she held space for us so beautifully.

The workshop centred on self-compassion, the power of rest, sisterhood and intentional communication, reminding us that growth does not have to come at the expense of care.

We are deeply grateful to the University of Edinburgh for the grant that made this programme possible and for believing in the importance of community-led mentorship.

Swipe to see highlights from an evening rooted in love, learning, and connection! ✨🤍

Hey Sis✨ Here are a few written snippets from last year’s edition of Nurtured💛
With writing from poetry to interviews, Nurtured celebrates all forms of submissions🌻 We want to continue to create a space for self expression, art and creativity for all Black Women in Edinburgh and beyond, so keep supporting us and join us on our journey to create the second edition of Nurtured✨

Thank you to all of last year’s contributors and we can’t wait to see what everyone brings this year🤭
