Scottish Housing Day Coffee Morning Success

As part of our Scottish Housing Day celebrations, we were delighted to host a community coffee morning centred around the theme of Healthy Homes, Healthy Futures.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone from the local community who came along, enjoyed a chat, and helped make the event such a success. It was wonderful to see everyone coming together, learning about local support services, and connecting with one another.

A special thank you goes to Mr Wright for his generous contribution of delicious home baking, and to our local baker for providing a fantastic selection of cakes. Your kindness and support were greatly appreciated and helped make the morning extra special.

We were also pleased to welcome colleagues Lynne & Kumar from the Royal Bank of Scotland , who provided valuable information and advice on financial wellbeing. Alongside this, we shared information about the groups, activities and events we offer throughout the year to support health, wellbeing and community connections.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we raised £55.42 through voluntary donations for St Columba's Hospice. Muirhouse Housing Association was delighted to match fund this amount, enabling us to donate £110.84 to the hospice, along with the remaining cakes from the event.

Community events such as these would not be possible without the support of our tenants, partners, volunteers and local businesses.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed, attended and helped create such a welcoming and enjoyable morning.

Thank you once again for helping us celebrate Scottish Housing Day and for supporting such a worthwhile cause. Together, we continue to build a stronger, healthier and more connected community.
