Dear dancing community,
We are writing another chapter into Edinburgh Lindy Exchange’s long history in 2026 because we love this event and the community at its heart. We love showcasing our local scene, our beautiful city, and dancing with visitors from near and far.
We’re asking the community that has brought ELX to life for over a decade to do so once more.
The UK’s rising cost of living has made it more challenging to run events that bring joy.
Our ticket sales are lower, and our venues and bands are more expensive. However, through the strength of our community, our dance has survived many periods like this in the past.
If you’re planning to come, please buy your ticket as soon as you can.
Early ticket sales make a huge difference.
They help us understand likely attendance, commit to venues and musicians, and make informed decisions about the weekend ahead.
If you’re not in a position to buy a ticket right now, the best way you can help is by spreading the word. Share the event with your local scene, tell your friends, and encourage anyone who has been thinking about coming to take a look.
ELX runs thanks to your enthusiasm, generosity and support. We’ve welcomed dancers from around the world, forged friendships that have lasted years, and created countless memories on dance floors across Edinburgh.
With your help, we will continue that tradition this September.
