ABOUT FOSKAP
We’ve been up and running as a group since 2007. In this time there have been substantial improvements across the park, including the addition of numerous benches and picnic tables, the installation of goal posts, information boards, and an all-weather multi-gym, the digging and planting of numerous trees, plants, and bulbs.
We run meet-ups about six times a year which could be a quick litter pick, planting of new trees or plants, or a trim and tidy up of the plants that are already there. Using the tabs above, you can see what events we have coming up, read up about past meet-ups, or get more information on the park.
We work closely with the City of Edinburgh Council Park’s & Greenspace team to develop the park to benefit everyone in the local community. We have assisted with the introduction of the Outdoor Gym, the planting of the orchard, and location of new benches. We also apply for our own funding for larger projects such as improving the path network across the park – watch this space!
For this work, we have utilised the help of several local groups including the local schools who have planted many of the bulbs and wiildflowers, a team from Domino Pizza’s who have helped with park clean-ups, and the City of Edinburgh Council Parks Team who continue to provide tools, guidance, people-power, and financial support for projects across the park.
