Cars £14.00 & large vans £20.00.
Please bring your own table!
Buyers can please arrive from 8.30 am, there is plenty off-road parking and free entry!

Portobello Rotary Club has long sponsored pupils aged 16 and 17 from Portobello High School to go to the Rotary organised week-long residential youth leadership development programme (known as RYLA) - held this year at the Abernethy Barcaple Outdoor Centre, Castle Douglas.

This year two young women attended - the cost (£1,380) shared between ourselves and our community member, Portobello High School.

It's always a genuinely rewarding experience for pupils - and this year has been no exception as this letter from the parents of one of the pupils demonstrates:

"I barely have the words to express how grateful me and my husband are to you and your team. My daughter had the most wonderful, wonderful time. She came home full of the joys and stories and new found confidence. And she slept for 14 hours!!

We are so delighted and happy for her. What an experience. We have loved hearing her every detail. The memories and friendships will last forever."

So, a big thank you to all who come along to support our monthly car boot sales at Newcraighall station car park. This is what you help to make happen - along with helping the other local, national and international charities we contribute funds to each year.

CANCELLED! Please note that, due to the thunder and heavy rain predicted for tomorrow (Sunday 26th July), we've taken the decision to CANCEL our planned car boot sale at Newcraighall Park and ride.

After all these weeks of sunshine too! But that's life - and we need the rain.

We welcomed Gabriela Amin back as our President this evening - and thanked Norman Ireland for his last two years in that important role for our club.

And we welcomed Stephen Ritchie back as a member.

All told, a good evening!

Rotary Portobello recently welcomed Tushar Arun Gandhi, the great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. Tushar runs the Gandhi World Peace Foundation and is a renowned author, speaker and activist.
We were delighted to enable a visit to Portobello High School where he addressed a large group of pupils about peace, citizenship, leadership, democracy and the role that they can play in creating positive change in the world. It was a memorable occasion. Beyond that, he happily accepted the Headteacher’s invitation to return to school a few days later to address this year’s leavers ahead of their graduation ceremony.
Before leaving Edinburgh, Rotary Portobello agreed to make Tushar an Honorary Member.

His next stop was Mexico, where he reunited with our sister club, Rotary Contreras. Together, they planted ‘Seeds of Peace’ next to Mahatma Gandhi’s sculpture.
