Can’t believe this was just last week! Great job everyone and so lovely to have so many of the children helping out!

Looking forward to this evening! Great opportunity for kids and adults to see the school and ask questions. Lots of fun activities to try too!!

On Friday we are collecting for the local foodbank as well as collecting warm clothing for the community. There’s a few extra things on the list this year so please donate what you can.

Donations will be received in the front playground or scooter shed if it’s wet, on Friday morning. If you go to breakfast club, there’ll be a box for donations there too.

The City of Edinburgh Council have once again outdone themselves! We are to keep waiting for safe crossings for the school BUT they’re happy to add risks to the school community by popping out highway maintenance for roadworks just beyond the school at Gray’s Loan, just as all the children are arriving at school.

Local MP is looking for some budding designers! Who fancies taking on the challenge?

🎨 Sticker Design Competition! 🌟

One of my favourite things about being your MP is meeting young people from across Edinburgh South West. Whether I'm visiting schools or chatting with local youth groups, I'm always inspired by the creativity and enthusiasm of our young people.

That's why I'm launching a Sticker Design Competition!

I think it's time for my stickers to get a refresh, and I'd love your help. I'm inviting children and young people across Edinburgh South West to design a brand-new sticker that celebrates our community and what makes our constituency special.

🏞️ Your design could feature local landmarks, nature, community spirit, or anything else that represents Edinburgh South West to you.
🏆 The winning design will be turned into my new official stickers that I'll hand out across the constituency.
📅 Deadline: Friday 2nd October
📝 To submit your design, please send it to the following email address: [email protected]

I can't wait to see your brilliant ideas. Good luck and get designing! ✨

In the news again!! We are really hugely disappointed by the The City of Edinburgh Council and their lack of both action and communication.

As chairperson, I have attended multiple meetings with the convenor, ward councillors and council officers. The timeline keeps being shifted, the reason why keeps changing…. It’s beyond ridiculous.

The deputation was submitted as we need council officers to publicly commit and be held accountable for the lack of action.

We don’t want a reactive approach - we want to prevent it!

Polwarth church is currently fundraising for £25,000 to allow them to keep their doors open!

The church has been very supportive of the school and particularly around the logistics. We host our annual Christmas Market there and they very kindly, loan us their tables for our summer fairs too.

If you can help them at all, please donate at https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/88XTVTHPZV2MN?fbclid=IwVERDUATpaZdwZG9mBWZkaWQWUMXC-uVPi_w12jL0QgGvouxrFyhvGmV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR73gNHcVDDcgsJgbHfjFOWC6BhJtphydFwv_3PipZ7rDGPIiI-cTTDqrW7-hQ_aem_3gqQgkf5uE6fcoHuwOVSoA

Well it’s only the day after the end of term and there’s been a whole rebrand for Craiglockhart!! Looks like a new headteacher too - Does Mrs Brown know??!?

Don’t worry, whilst we all have dreams for the summer - like the kids not arguing (my own one). It turns out our school has always wanted to get into acting.. so in its debut role, it’s going to be a different school!!!

What other roles do you reckon Craiglockhart could take on?!
