Swann Arlaud simply is magnificent in A Man of His Time (Notre Salut) by director Emmanuel Marre. For his second feature film after Rien à fo**re in 2021, Marre delves into his own family archives to share a film about Vichy government officials, these ordinary men who kept the collaboration machine oiled and running. See it as part of the official selection of French Film Festival UK this November and December. LA VOILÀ! The face of French Film Festival UK. This stunning monochrome image of Charlotte Gainsbourg by Sharif Hamza for UniFrance captures both the spirit of the iconic Gainsbourg as well as the festival: forward-looking, unique, independent, inclusive, challenging, joyful and alluring. The Edinburgh-based festival team including Emma Quinn design, have long adored and admired Ms Gainsbourg who will appear on the brochure cover, posters, socials and elsewhere. She is one of the stars in the praised Femmes First strand, presenting diverse work by female directors, both new and established. She appears in one of the key titles Women on Trial / L’Affaire Marie-Claire. French Film Festival UK – made in Scotland, shared across the nations.
