Air Dihaoine, chaidh sinn a-mach air turas gu Eilean Inchcolm. Dh'ionnsaich sinn tòrr mu dheidhinn eachdraidh an abaid, a chaidh a thogail anns an 12mh linn, agus chunnaic sinn tòrr faoileagan mun cuairt, cuid aca le iseanan beaga cuideachd.

Eadar an abaid eachdraidheil, faoileagan fiadhaich, agus bàta bòidheach, bha fìor dheagh thuras againn!

On Friday we had a great time out at Inchcolm Island. We learned about the history of the abbey, built in the 12th century, and we saw plenty seagulls flying around the island, some of which had chicks with them too!

Bookings for the trip to Inchcolm Island are now open!

On Friday 3rd July we will take a trip over to Inchcolm Island. This trip is open to pupils from C6 to S4.

We will meet at Edinburgh Waverley at 09:20, and get the train over to Dalmeny. The ferry will take us across to Inchcolm Island, where we'll spend 1hr 30mins exploring the island and looking around the Abbey. Once back on dry land, we will get the train back into Edinburgh Waverley, arriving back for 14:30.

Spaces cost £16 each, and bookings can be made through the Bookwhen page - bookwhen.com/calumiain

Please note:
- Due to age restrictions on train tickets and ferry tickets, 15 is the maximum age for students on this trip.
- The specified year group is the year they have just finished. If your child was in S3 for the 2025/26 school year they are considered S3 in these age groups.

! Campa Spòrs CnaG - Spaces Still Available !

There are still spaces available on the Campa Spòrs in the first week of the holidays.

Each day we'll meet at James Gillespies High School, where we'll be playing various different sports. Each day will run from 10am till 3pm.

Each day costs £15, £45 for the three days. A discounted price is available if you are booking siblings in.

BOOKINGS OPEN - PRÒGRAM SAMHRAIDH

Bookings are now open for this year's summer programme. CnaG are running various events and activities in and around Edinburgh over the summer holidays, with different things happening for anyone from C4 to S3.

The classes specified for each event refer to the class the child has just finished. If they were in C7 for the 2025/26 school year they are considered C7 here.

The booking page for the Inchcolm Island trip will go live when the ferry and trains have been booked. There will be a follow up post to let you all know when that is up.

Prògram Samhraidh Dhùn Èideann

This year Comunn na Gàidhlig are running various Gàidhlig activities over the summer holidays. Attached is a calendar showing the sessions we are hoping to run, and when they will be happening.

Further information regarding how to book places, exact timings, and itineraries will be sent out shortly. But for now, I just wanted to let you all know what we currently have planned, and a chance for you all to put these dates in the diaries!

Campa Ball-Coise
A three day sports camp open to C6-S2, where we will be taking part in various different sports over these three days.

Inchcolm Island
A trip to Inchcolm Island for C6-S3. We'll start and finish from Waverley train station.

Campa Sradagan
A five-day camp run by CnaG, for any pupils in C6 or C7. There are still spaces remaining on the first week, running from the 29th of June till the 3rd of July. The second Sradagan week (6th-10th July) is full as far as I'm aware, but there is a waiting list. BRAG!
Two days of activities, open to C4-C7. We will be doing various games, crafts, and a couple of trips around Edinburgh. This will be based in Leith, and run from 10am till 3pm each day. The first two days are open to C4 and C5, the second two are for C6 and C7.

BRAGAIL!
Three days of activities for pupils from S1 to S3. Each day will be spent with GME pupils from Glasgow and Art Donald, CnaG officer for the Glasgow area. One day will be in Edinburgh, another in Glasgow, and on the third day we will go to Stirling for the day.
