International Women’s Day, Edinburgh (IWDE) is a group of women organising a feminist demonstration for 8th March 2019 in the Scottish capital.
The march will start at 6:00 PM in Parliament Square and it will be follow by a gig at Henry’s Cellar Bar (21:00 h)
The group of migrant and Scottish women have open meetings once a month. All women are welcome to attend.
The organisation adheres to the International Women’s Strike Movement.
The group, with input from individuals and organisations working on different women’s issues in and around Edinburgh, has also produced a Femifesto calling all cis women, trans women, non-binary people and everyone who identifies as a woman, of any ethnicity or any sexual orientation, to oppose the patriarchal system and demand the end of inequality.
