Order of Perpetual Indulgence Convent of Dùn Èideann - Retired The Convent (now retired) was an Edinburgh manifestation of a worldwide order of q***r people of all sexualities, genders and expressions from 1998 to 2024.

By eradicating guilt and promoting universal joy, we aim to end prejudice and intolerance towards those who 'dare to be different'. By manifesting in habit, the Sisters and Brothers challenge gender stereotypes and the oppression of organised religious orthodoxy, which still refuses to accept q***rs (or, indeed, anyone living an 'unacceptable' lifestyle) as being equal members of society with a ri

ght to their sexuality. The Order is not a religious order, nor is it anti religion. Many within the Order observe a religious or spiritual life. Others do not. The Order is open to all who feel the call of the habit. We celebrate at public events. We demonstrate. We perform q***r affirmative ritual, do fund-raising, perform memorials and generally drag up in habit at any invitation.

Hello Gathered Faithful- Sister Waistnot here. I have taken the decision to begin a mission in Fife to continue the work of the Sisters in my local area. The needs of the community are often different for those in our larger cities and i would like to concentrate on these. This doesn't mean I'm abandoning my sisters in Haus of Nunsense - we all need a city break from time to time! I will endeavour to set up some social media stuff today and I'd appreciate once i do! Anyway - keep your eyes peeled for The Kingdom Mission!

On saturday night we helped raise £1382.15 for Waverley Care - old page at the Pleasance. The Convent will be collecting again there on the 24th August but if you have the time please consider volunteering yourself, its lots of fun, very straightforward and incredibly rewarding!
