Erica, our Social Justice Policy Officer, attended a Voice of Carers Across Lothian (VOCAL) event, engaging with carers and third sector partners about what meaningful progress could and should look like. Our network is vital in supporting carers across Scotland; achieving the systems change urgently needed depends on listening to lived experience and working in partnership so carers are truly valued and able to thrive. 🤍

Our latest Energy Brief is now live. Here are three key points you need to know about energy issues in Scotland.

📈 The total energy debt brought to CABs from January to March 2026 was £2.7 million - the highest in any 3-month period.

💡Almost £4000 people needed crisis energy support to stay on supply - with prices set to soar from July, this will worsen without government intervention.

🏭 People reliant on heating oil felt the impact of global events harshly and swiftly, even with the support of the Scottish Emergency Heating Oil Scheme.
