Thanks to Georgia and the Young Women Lead cohort for their hard work researching intimate image abuse.

If you’ve been impacted by intimate image abuse - whether the image is real or a sexual digital forgery “deepfake” - you’re not alone 💚

You can find support from the following organisations: Report Remove

🗣️ Do you, or someone you know, have a story to share about the last 100 years of the YWCA in Scotland?

The Young Women's Movement was formerly known as YWCA Scotland, and we would love to speak to people who were involved in the YWCA in Scotland from 1924 to the present day. We know that women in Aberdeen made contributions to our movement , and we'd be keen to hear from you. These contributions could have involved:

- Working or volunteering the YWCA
- Staying in a YWCA hostel or residence
- Delivering or taking part in activities or events with the YWCA

We'll collect the stories in a digital archive, which will continue to grow and act as a record of our 100-year history, showing how life has changed and inspiring the next generation of young women and girls in Scotland.

📣 Can you help us spread the word to as many people as possible?

Young Women Remember is a participatory research project co-produced by The Young Women’s Movement and a group of volunteer researchers from across Scotland. It is made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We’re a small team, so we don’t have capacity to reply to Facebook comments, so please do get in touch by email or phone. Find out more and share your story at the link below:

Young Women Remember, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, aims to collect, record and share the stories of support, connection and activism linked to The Young Women's Movement over the past 100 years.
