We are delighted to announce that our Young Women Remember archive is officially live. 🩷

But over a century of history doesn't survive by accident. It survives because of people like Jeanette Palmer.

During World War II, Jeanette literally risked her life to protect the YWCA archives from destruction. She understood a fundamental truth: if our history isn't actively preserved, our stories are forgotten.

Our Young Women Remember steering group undertook a similar process of history making and preserving by using Oral Histories and archival resources to tell the story of our charity from the very beginning.

For a decade, The Young Women’s Movement has been spotlighting the incredible young women braving new paths across Scotland.

Do you know someone under 30 who is:
- Creating change in their community, school, or workplace?
- Challenging the status quo in art, health, journalism, or youth work?
- A leader, a campaigner, or a quiet force for good?

We especially want to hear about those outside the central belt, and those from marginalised backgrounds. We know that sometimes young women are their own biggest champions, so we accept self-nominations too!
