Autumn is a wonderful time of year to take a walk up Calton Hill to the romantic Appleton Tower viewing spot. Many T.A.T.A S. members have fond memories of this view and often return to marvel at the outstanding vista dominated by our favourite Edinburgh landmark.

For the duration of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Appleton Tower has been reimagined as a multistorey Balloon which has been Gilded.

The Appleton Tower Appreciation Society particularly like the addition of a bar.

The Appleton Tower viewing area has an amazing Christmas tree.
It's almost exactly the same height as Appleton Tower. (As proven by this photo).
