It doesn't have to be huge - union members campaign for many improvements to the workplace like designating a staff room, updating computer chairs to ones that give support or making sure your rights around sick p
ay or holidays are being observed. Who is in a trade union? Almost 7 million people in the UK doing every kind of job imaginable. UNISON is known as the 'public service union' and covers people who work in health, education, local council services and voluntary sector. In a trade union you are better off. Your rights at work are protected and can be defended by support from other members, union stewards and staff. You can work together with other people in your workplace and members across the country to solve problems at work and in society.
