The next GRSE meet-a-bandmate event is happening on Tues 23rd from 7-9pm, in the back room of the Strathmore Bar on Iona Street. There will be opportunities to meet other musicians such as vocalists, guitarists, bassists and drummers. We'd like one or two singer songwriters to give is a wee performance (2-3 songs each), so get in touch if you'd like to give us a wee song, but bear in mind that the Strathie doesn't allow electric instruments so it would be acoustic instruments only. There will be a raffle so bring something to contribute if you can. We will also have copies of the latest GRSE zine for sale!

GRSE GRADS! Our showcase is on 27th June, so let us know by 8th May if you/your band would like to grab a slot!

Email us your band name and bio by next Friday. All bands considered but new grads given priority. Your band doesn’t need to be made up of all grads. Be sure to let us know which term you joined us too.

Hiya Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs! The big , bright , green GRSE banner will be at the International Women's Day March today - come and join us!

Edinburgh is hosting two events:
11.30-12.30pm Pre-march seminar, Southside Community Centre (full access) - Exploring key concerns and campaigns taking place in Edinburgh: Programme: Welcome & introductions, Talat Yaqoob, Women against the Far Right, Speaker TBC, Speaker from Young Women’s Movement, Speaker from Let’s Change the Act, with discussion and stalls. 1pm IWD March – (assemble 12.45) at Mercat Cross, Royal Mile - the march will go down the Royal Mile to the Scottish Parliament, for a rally with speakers and a live acrobatic performance from Edinburgh’s amazing Castellers! Please bring your friends, neighbours, and family – absolutely everyone is welcome (it’s not just for women, it’s for everyone who cares about equality!). Bring your placards and banners, bells, whistles, drums and other musical instruments – we’re going to be LOUD!

The route of the march is all downhill on mainly smooth tarmac, but stewards will be on hand to help wheelchair users with any kerbs or cobbles.

This year for the first time, you can join us for a seminar before our usual march along the Royal Mile.
