Heriot-Watt Music Society Bringing together all things musical at Heriot-Watt! Our Music Society at Heriot Watt aims to bring together musicians of all sorts.

Whether you’re a regular member of a music group on campus who wants to catch up at social events, a student looking to start a new music group or you’re looking for opportunities to perform we want to support you! Over the course of the year we hope to have regular social events as well as concerts and a few workshops (both student led and led by professionals). We are open to all regardless of a

bility, from hopeless to Handel, whether you play or just enjoy listening, and are always looking for new ideas so feel free to get in touch!

We have both our final OpenMic of the semester and AGM coming up on Friday 27/03!
The AGM will be in meeting room 1 from 3-3:30 and we are requiring a full committee refresh as the current are finishing or stepping down due to other commitments. If you’re interested in helping keep the society going but looking for support, previous committee members are more than happy to assist with getting started as it can seem like a lot initially :)
OpenMic shall be from 7:30 onwards in libs so we hope to see as many of you there as possible for a big finale for the year!

This Friday we are running an open invite community meeting in zeroes before our OpenMic. Within the meeting we are going to be discussing future activities that folks are hoping to see at music society and the plan for next semester. If you’re interested then pop along for 6:30pm on 7/11.

Thats right!! This Monday (29/09) at 5pm in Zeroes we are collabing with and can’t wait to get you all involved!
Our synesthesia event will involve both musicians and artists so if you would like the chance to play some songs and have them transformed into art by those partaking then this is the event for you! Equally if you’re interested in coming along and painting what you hear then we can’t wait to see you :)

Ay sorry for the late notice, this will get more regular as we get into the semester

After solid interest from our members we have decided to implement a jam session before our openmics begin. This will start at 7pm, anyone is welcome to play and everyone is welcome to come along. Our goal is to start encouraging us to play together as a society so if youre interested then get along this Friday! Cant wait to see everyone there :)
