We’re delighted to welcome Mill O’Forest Primary School as they join WOW – the walk to school challenge. An extra big thank you to the school’s new WOW Ambassadors who are stepping up to the challenge of leading and inspiring their fellow pupils to travel actively to school!

Thank you also to Aberdeenshire Council who are supporting our active travel programme for primary schools in the region.

Johanna Stewart, Strategy Development Officer, said the following:

“Mill O Forest Primary School have recently become the latest school to join the WOW project which Aberdeenshire Council deliver in partnership with Living Streets. Funding was obtained to run this program and is a great initiative to encourage more children and families to travel actively to school. This scheme has been proven in other schools to positively encourage walking and wheeling to school which in turn helps reduces school gate congestion and safety concerns.”
