Our Scottish Organic Producer Board member and dairy farmer Ross Paton spoke at the Stand up For Nature demo outside The Scottish Parliament last week, demanding action to restore Scotland's nature.

It is vital that new The Scottish Government ministers and MSPs from all parties prioritise nature restoration in the upcoming parliamentary term and farmers and crofters can – and in many cases already are – play a key role in protecting and supporting nature.

We're delighted to have joined the Scottish Agroecology Partnership (SAP), aiming to strengthen collaboration across the sector, support knowledge exchange, and ensure that the value of native breeds remains central to Scotland’s future farming systems 🤝

To celebrate this new partnership, RBST will be attending the Royal Highland Show this year within the SAP marquee, alongside other partner organisations. In addition, the annual RBST Farming & Food Sustainability Awards will continue to take place, with the categories being expanded to include SAP-focused themes. 🌱 Something new is coming to the Royal Highland Show

For the first time, the Royal Highland Show will host a Sustainable Agriculture Tent, led by the in collaboration with Smallholding Scotland.

The tent will bring together farmers and crofters from across Scotland to share practical, on-farm solutions to the climate and biodiversity crises, showcase innovative sustainable farming, and host the Sustainable Farmer of the Year Awards.

It will also highlight the need for fairer support to help everyone transition to agroecological farming.
