THE HOUSE BESIDE THE ROWAN
21 Abington Road, Symington ML12 6JX

This avid plant collector's space of around a third of an acre is packed with an eclectic mix of plants for all seasons. Informally divided into many areas and covering many aspects of gardening it provides a backdrop to encourage wildlife.

Sunday 21 June, 12pm - 5pm (2026)
💛Admission £5.00, children free.
Nominated charity: Cancer Research UK: 60%.

SMITHYCROFT HOUSE
Pettinain ML11 8SS

visit a garden where the wildlife is given as much space as the glorious mass of nectar-rich perennials, where herbicides and pesticides are banned, a hosepipe has never been used, only homemade compost is used to improve the soil and a small flock of chickens are allowed free-range.

Entry is £5 donation, Nominated charity: Médecins Sans Frontières 60%.

Open 1pm - 4:30pm

We are currently seeking a new Lanarkshire District Organiser.

The District Organiser leads the team and oversees garden openings through the season, making sure garden owners know what to expect from their open day and have the right support.

At the heart of our charity are around a thousand volunteer organisers and garden owners, without whom there would be no gardens to visit.
