The Tent

The Tent The Tent is a project of local churches in South West Edinburgh providing a week of activities from 13-19 July 2015.

An exciting project being held in Saughton park for one week only! This is a local project for local people aimed at bring a little bit of that summer excitement to you! Why go away when there is so much to do here in Edinburgh? There will be three events held daily at The Tent:

10:30 - 12:30 - Holiday Club for Primary School Children. This will be run in partnership with Churches from the local

area to provide a fun and creative holiday club while also sharing about Gods Love. Children will have the opportunity to sing, dance, draw, create, take part in games and drama and hear about God.

14:00 - 16:00 - Sports, music, art and Drama. This will be run in partnership with both local and national organisations who will come in and provide a range of choices. This is open to both Primary and Secondary Children.

18:00 - 22:30 - Family and community events. These will change every evening as we try and offer something for everything. This could be a film night, an evening of Jazz or for those feeling a little more active a ceilidh. With all these events we are working closely with the Saughton Park authorities to provide a program for the people of the local area. On the Saturday we will have a Family Fun day with Bouncy Castles and a lot of entertainment. As different churches we are united in our desire to be one church. This will be clearly visibly on Sunday 19th July as we all close our doors at the Church and congregate in the large marquee to join together in worship as one church!
