Transgender Day of Remembrance 20 11 2025

In the past 12 months, murderers took the lives, hopes, and dreams of 281 trans people across the world. These are only the cases that were recorded.

Today, we honour the lives of those we have lost.
We are committed to creating a world where trans people can live free from violence and thrive.

The ILGA World logo and the photo of a lit candle are placed in a corner of the image.

What a month! Full of love, colour, and solidarity. 🌈💛

As Pride Month draws to a close, we just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped make it so special.

Whether you came along to our online session marking 30 years since MCC Edinburgh was founded, the Trans Social Space, enjoyed pastries, tea and coffee at the Pride Breakfast, marched with us during the parade carrying our "God Loves All" and "Trans Affirming Church" placards, gathered outside the church to cheer on the parade as it went past, popped by our stall in McEwan Hall, attended our Pride Sunday worship (online or in-person) or attended our "Come Out with Our Tribe" Coffee Social — you helped make this Pride Month something really joyful and meaningful.

We’ve shared so many moments of connection and celebration during the past month, but we know the work doesn't stop here. There’s still so much to do—especially when it comes to supporting our trans siblings, whose rights and safety are under threat. You are loved, you are not alone, and you deserve to live freely as the person God created you to be.

So, thank you—for joining us this Pride Month, for being proud, and for being part of our amazing community. Let’s keep the love going all year round. 💜🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Edinburgh Pride 2025
Around 50 people from 5 different church denominations came together for breakfast at AUC.
Some of us joined the Pride March and others stood outside the church to cheer on the march as it passed by on the way to the Pride festival.
It was a wonderful day!

Inviting all MCC Trans and Nonbinary People of Faith to a Gathering

As we know well, around the world human and civil rights of Trans and Nonbinary people are under relentless attack. Many emotions are being experienced and Rev. Elder Aaron Miller, on behalf of the MCC Council of Elders, will be hosting along with co-facilitators Rev. Elder Maxwell Reay and Rev. Dawn Flynn as we gather and share:

HOW, WHAT, and WHERE:
➡️ HOW are we feeling -- in the place and country where we live?
➡️ WHAT are we doing for -- self-care, finding joy, staying safe, helping ourselves and others?
➡️ WHERE do we (and can we) -- find God in the midst of all this?

Please consider joining us for this initial and much-needed time to gather, share, and care about and for each other. As people of faith, Beloved of God, and messengers of the GOOD News we are stronger together when we center in love and for love. So, come...

Schedule: Monday, June 23, 2025 at 2PM ET / 1PM CT / 12PM MT / 11AM PT / 7PM BST.
