Drylaw & Telford Community Council Local Residents coming together to make our community a better place to be. The Drylaw & Telford Community Council is in the Inverleith Ward, Edinburgh.

The Drylaw & Telford Community Council are a group of local residents and elected community councillors. We can act as an intermediatory party between local residents and the local authorities or government bodies to make them aware of the opinions and needs of our community. The City of Edinburgh Council have statutory oversight of community councils and are required by statute to consult community councils about planning applications and licencing matters.

A quick reminder from Drylaw & Telford Community Council and Police Scotland — think carefully before posting holiday updates publicly on social media while you’re away.

Sharing real-time photos or check-ins can let people know your home is empty, and in some cases could even affect home insurance claims if insurers believe reasonable precautions weren’t taken.

A few simple tips:

📍 Turn off location sharing
📬 Ask someone to keep an eye on your home
📸 Consider posting your holiday photos once you’re back home

A big thank you to everyone who attended tonight’s Drylaw & Telford Community Council AGM.

It was a very positive and productive meeting, with a great discussion on local issues affecting our community. We were also delighted to welcome a new Community Councillor and to reappoint our office bearers for the next term.

Community Councils work best when local people get involved. Whether you want to raise concerns, share ideas, help improve the area, or simply stay informed about what’s happening locally - your voice matters.

We would love to see more residents come along to future meetings and help shape the future of Drylaw & Telford.

👋 Hi Drylaw, Telford and Edinburgh Northern Constituents.

Thank you to everyone that has shown an interest, and to those of you who have your tickets booked, we look forward to welcoming you to our event on Monday evening!

If you have a ticket booked, but can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket, contact us at [email protected] or message the page as we do have a waiting list of people that would also like to attend.

For those that have received a waiting list spot, we will contact you if a ticket becomes available.
