Times running out to become part of the Scottish ClubSport Volunteer family and use your financial expertise help shape the future of community sport in Scotland?

Scottish ClubSport is recruiting a Finance Director to join our volunteer Board.

We’re looking for someone with experience of management and financial accounting, knowledge of financial systems including Xero, excellent communication skills and a commitment to Scottish ClubSport and its objectives.

⏱️ Time commitment: approximately 5 hours per month
📍 Voluntary Non-Executive Director role
💷 Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed
🏏 Experience within sport is welcomed but not required
💷 Our annual budget is less than £100k

As well as contributing to Scottish ClubSport’s future, the successful applicant will have opportunities to develop their own skills and experience through access to our training programmes, annual conference, AGM and member events.

Scottish ClubSport is looking for a new Finance Director to join our Board and help support the continued development and sustainability of our organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with financial knowledge, experience and a passion for making a difference in community and club sport across Scotland.

As our Finance Director, you’ll bring your skills and experience to help us strengthen our financial oversight, support good governance and contribute to the strategic direction of Scottish ClubSport.

You don’t need to be from a sporting background – we’re particularly interested in the skills, experience and perspective you can bring to the role.

Do you have financial experience and a few hours each month that you could use voluntarily to help support the future of community sport across Scotland?

Scottish ClubSport is looking for a Finance Director to join our Board and bring their knowledge, skills and experience to support the organisation’s financial management, governance and strategic development.

We’re looking for someone with:
💷 Experience and knowledge of management and financial accounting
📊 Knowledge of financial systems, including Xero
🤝 Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
🎯 A commitment to the success and objectives of Scottish ClubSport
⚖️ The ability to question, challenge and contribute constructively at Board level

Board experience is desirable, but it’s not essential. Experience within sport or the voluntary sector would also be welcomed, but we’re particularly interested in what you can bring through your financial knowledge and experience.

The role is voluntary, with approximately 5 hours per month required, and reasonable expenses are reimbursed.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Scottish ClubSport, gain experience working with a small and dynamic Board and staff team, and access Scottish ClubSport training, events and resources.
