Delighted to once again be teaming up with the independent publication The Quinntessential Review to be bringing you new reviews of shows at Edinburgh summer festivals with elements of world at their heart.

Enjoy this ⭐⭐⭐⭐ review by Alena Shmakova 👇

Space in Between | Oxana Banshikova, Abirami Eswar & Kirsten Newell

"As someone interested in traditional arts within the broader landscape of world dance rather than a specialist, I was captivated by how these ancient vocabularies were deployed to tell deeply modern, relatable stories."

A 4-star dance theatre trilogy bridging classical South Asian dance traditions with contemporary narrative. Oxana Banshikova, Abirami Eswar, and Kirsten Newell interweave Bharatanatyam and Kathak to explore time, regret, and human connection.

9 Aug – 16 Aug (check venue listings for showtimes) | (Assembly @ Dance Base, DB3)
